Tours

The Great Synagogue is open to visitors at 12 noon every Tuesday and Thursday (from 1 July 2012 tours will only take place on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month and every Thursday) provided it is not a Jewish or public holiday. Visitors are shown a DVD which deals with the history of the Jewish community in Australia, the history of The Great Synagogue itself and some information on basic Judaism. The cost is $10 for adults, $7 concession and $5 for children.

Pre-booked tours are also available on Tuesdays and Thursdays at either 10am or 2pm for special interest groups and schools. Contact 9267 2477 for more information.

Should you require a visit from one of our ministers or our trained volunteers, please call the synagogue and we can arrange this for you.
