Education
The Great Synagogue runs an exciting Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah program on Sunday mornings with senior educator Yetta Einfeld, Chazan David Hilton and our youth leader Chaya Lever.
Students start the morning with prayer and breakfast, then move onto general Jewish learning or special Hebrew language learning.
We can recommend teachers for boys to learn their Parsha and Haftorah and girls to prepare their special D'var Torah.
A "mother and daughter" class is held regularly, conducted by Mandy Lawrence.
Each Shabbat morning and festivals there are youth services which introduce youngsters to elements of the service and stories behind the readings from Torah.
Services are conducted by trained leaders and the children are offered snacks and cold drinks.
