Tours

The Great Synagogue offers tours led by our Rabbis and Tour Guides for schools and private groups. We showcase our beautiful Shule and all of it's historical, religious and architectural significance. Consecrated in 1878, it is the earliest surviving synagogue in Sydney, and one of the finest examples of Victorian architecture in Australia. Since it's opening, the Great Synagogue has been central to Jewish culture and worship in Sydney, and is home to a thriving modern orthodox congregation.

Tours are approximately 1 hour, and include a video screening and a Q & A either with Rabbi or one of our Tour Facilitators. We cater to smaller groups, and to a maximum of 160 group attendees. Bookings can be made via our tours calendar below on Mondays and Tuesdays of each week. If a date you want is not available, please get in touch with us via email as we may be able to fit you in at the same time as another tour.

Tour pricing starts at $400 including GST and prices are staggered based on group numbers, listed as follows :

TOURS Pricing

0-39  $400
40-79 $500
