Welcome to the Great Synagogue, where we offer guided tours led by our knowledgeable Rabbis and Tour Guides. Explore our stunning Shule, a jewel of Victorian architecture and the earliest surviving Synagogue in Sydney. Since 1878, the Great Synagogue has been a central hub for Jewish culture and worship, boasting a vibrant modern orthodox congregation.span>
Our tours last approximately 1 hour and include a video presentation followed by a Q&A session with a Rabbi or Tour Facilitator. We accommodate groups of up to 160 attendees, with tours available on Mondays to Thursdays each week. Please book through our tours calendar below. If your preferred date is unavailable, contact us via email, and we may be able to arrange a concurrent tour.

Due to construction happening inside the Synagogue,
no new tours are open in 2025.
