Hayley Mayer

During her 11 years in the Mental Health Industry, Hayley has had experience as a Psychotherapist, Presenter, Group Work Facilitator, Workshop Creator, Writer, and Resilience and Empowerment Coach. Hayley has presented to a diverse range of clients, including those from corporate, government, and community sectors. She is passionate about using her knowledge, which draws on psychology, philosophy, and real-life experience, to educate individuals to simplify their thought patterns and build their resilience skills, enabling them to live a stress-free life. Hayley is raw and honest and will challenge your paradigm to be curious about mental health instead of judging it.

Since October 7, 2023, Shoshana has taken a bold stand, stepping away from her day job to focus on her mission: Operation Golda. From her kitchen, she has spearheaded an incredible initiative, mobilising the Australian community to send over 26,000 kilos of vital trauma supplies to Israel. A proud graduate of Moriah College, Shoshana has worn many hats throughout her life. From her early days as a Madricha in B’nei Akiva to her tenure as President of AUJS at the University of Sydney, her leadership and commitment to community have always shone through. More recently, she’s run the Moriah College Band Camp Kitchen and serves as a trustee for Mt Zion Early Learning Centre, as well as on the Board of Magen David Adom, NSW. Shoshana is a pharmacist and the manager of her own skincare business, QED Skincare.

Dee Fittinghoff

Dee Fittinghoff is a warm and compassionate clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families to create deep, authentic connections and resilient relationships. With expertise in relationship dynamics, Dee helps couples navigate communication challenges, parenting, infertility, perinatal loss, separation, and marriage preparation, offering a safe and collaborative space to work through life’s transitions together. On a personal note, Dee has been married for 32 years and is a proud mother to three adult children. She loves nothing more than gathering her family and friends around the Shabbat table, entertaining, and spending quality time with loved ones. She is also deeply connected to her Jewish heritage, the community and Israel.

Dina Savitz
Dina Savitz is a naturopath and personal trainer specialising in energy. With a passion for holistic health and fitness, Dina offers her clients a combination of exercise, nutrition coaching and individualised supplements (backed by science) as well as sustainable lifestyle changes.
As a mum of three, Dina is passionate about the importance of mothers taking time out for themselves and prioritising their own health. She also understands the changes a woman's body goes through during pregnancy, birth and beyond and the importance of appropriate exercise, lifestyle & nutritional modifications for each stage of life. 

Sorella Abrahams
Sorella, one of twelve children born into a warm, Chabad family in the UK, has been involved in outreach since a young age. Community building has been her life calling, and she has run outreach programs in the USA and UK, before marrying Rabbi Aycee and moving to Sydney in 2009. She spent 13 years strengthening and growing the Dover Heights Shule community and, having had four children, she is now the co-founder of Abrahams Tent, an organisation dedicated to supporting patients and their loved ones in hospital. 
Sorella’s hobbies include creative writing, public speaking and teaching, particularly the deeper meanings and relevance of Judaism. Her passions are people and relationships, bringing people together in celebration and joy.

with Nava Cardo & Rebbetzin Mushki Feldman

Nava Cardo

Nava Cardo is a Sydney-based fashion stylist known for her creative eye and refined sense of style. Raised in a family with a strong fashion heritage, she brings years of experience to her work with clients, editors, and photographers. She has styled clients wearing pieces from Dior, Fendi, Cue, Gucci, and more — always blending elegance with individuality. With a background in law and science, Nava brings a thoughtful, fearless approach to fashion. She’s also a proud mum of two and a committed member of The Great Synagogue, where she wears her headband with pride and purpose.

 

Rebbetzin Mushki Feldman

Mushki Feldman is mother of three and wife to Menachem, the Great Synagogue's Chazan and Associate Rabbi. Born in Israel and raised in Moscow with 11 siblings, Mushki married Menachem in 2017 and moved to Sydney. They served as Young Adult Directors at Dover Heights Shule before joining The Great Synagogue in 2022. As a Rebbetzin, Mushki engages in community programs and life cycle events, promoting Jewish life. As a wig and fashion stylist, she believes style and beauty connect to the soul and play an important role in spiritual life, empowering Jewish women to express inner beauty through modest yet stylish attire.

Facilitator: Miriam Hechtman

Miriam Hechtman is a writer, producer and arts curator. She is the founder and creative director of Poetica, a live poetry, music and arts initiative, and the editor of The Alphabet of Women (Ginninderra Press 2022). Miriam is well known in Sydney for her community gatherings, her clear and kind leadership and her ability to create inclusive and creative events. Throughout her working life, Miriam has partnered with artists and creatives to produce significant projects on screen, on the page and in real life. She lives in Sydney with her husband, two daughters, and Poppy the dog.

Kerri Sackville

Kerri Sackville is an Australian author and columnist. She has written extensively for online and print publications including Sunday Life magazine, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, and news.com.au, and has appeared frequently on TV and radio. Kerri is the author of several works of non-fiction and has contributed essays to three anthologies. The Secret Life of You is her fifth book. Kerri has three kids and a recalcitrant cat and lives in Sydney.

Dr Lee Kofman

Dr Lee Kofman is the author of six books, including a book on writing, The Writer Laid Bare (Ventura Press, 2022), memoirs Imperfect(Affirm Press, 2019), which was shortlisted for Nib Literary Award, and The Dangerous Bride (Melbourne University Press, 2014). She is the co-editor of Rebellious Daughters (Ventura Press, 2016) and editor of Split (Ventura Press, 2019), which was long-listed for ABIA Awards – anthologies of memoir by prominent Australian authors. Her short works have been widely published in Australia and overseas. Lee regularly speaks at literary events, judges literary awards, and is an experienced writing mentor and teacher of writing.

Step Into Joy: Israeli Dance & Connection
with Nina Rassaby  
 

Nina Rassaby

Nina Rassaby was born and raised in Sydney Australia. She began her love for Israeli music and folk dancing as a young child while she was a member of the youth group Habonim. As a young adult, Nina continued to dance and teach Israeli and other international folk-dancing. During that time, she taught folk dancing in high schools and in community events. Over the next two decades, Nina continued her involvement with Israeli dance classes and events in Australia and abroad. In 2014, together with other keen dancers, Nina set up Keff Sydney - an Israeli folk dance group.

Caroline Lewis OAM

Caroline was a member of The Great Synagogue’s Board in 2004 and Vice President from 2014 - 2020. Her desire to see The Great Synagogue live on in the hearts and minds of future generations is what drove her to utilise her design agency and marketing background to help put The Great at the forefront of Modern Orthodoxy, create innovative events and activities in and around the shul and inspire others’ participation. Having since 'embraced new beginnings', she pivoted in 2014 to become a teen & young adult life coach. Caroline loves to collaborate with, empower and celebrate women’s achievements. She has an innate passion to bring a sense of belonging, warmth and fun as well as revelling in the spirit, struggles and resilience of all women. The 'Women of Worth' Day is a realisation of that dream.
